The Bemidji State University Alumni & Foundation is pleased to welcome Lyndsay Ampe as its new senior director of finance and operations. Her first day was July 15.
In this key leadership role, Ampe will oversee the organization’s financial operations while leading accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting efforts. She will also help develop efficient processes and provide strategic financial insights to the board of directors and staff to support alumni engagement, Career Advancement, communications, and fundraising.
“This role brings together everything I love professionally — data, numbers, finance, and creating efficient operations — all in support of a mission I genuinely believe in,” Ampe said. “I feel like every step of my career has prepared me for this role. I love the idea that the work happening behind the scenes helps ensure donor dollars are used intentionally: creating opportunities for students while giving alumni confidence that their generosity is making a real difference. That’s the kind of work I’m thrilled to be a part of.”
Ampe joins the Alumni & Foundation after serving in finance and operations roles across higher education, consulting, and agribusiness roles. She brings experience in financial management, process design, organizational alignment, and leadership.
Ampe earned a bachelor’s degree in financial management from Upper Iowa University and a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from St. Cloud State University.
