With over 50,000 alumni around the country and all over the globe, Bemidji State University alumni make incredible contributions to their communities each and every day.

Being involved in a BSU Alumni Network is a fantastic way to stay connected to your university and fellow alumni while making a positive impact on your community through service, networking and social events.

Anyone can join our Alumni Networks! Our networks have three tiers, meaning you can join at the level that makes sense for you.

Membership requirements

The requirements of an alumni network are as follows:

  1. Individuals must pay annual dues of $250 to retain active membership status.
  2. Network must retain a membership of at least 20 active members.
  3. Elect officers to leadership roles.
  4. Support the mission, purpose and annual goals and objectives of the BSU Alumni & Foundation.
  5. Must award at least one $1,000 student scholarship annually through fundraising efforts and/or membership dues.
  6. Organize at least one alumni event and one student outreach event per year.
  7. Prepare an annual report on the network’s membership and activities and submit it to the Alumni & Foundation Board of Directors for their homecoming meeting each year.
  8. Maintain a network-specific Facebook group page.

What Does an Alumni Network Do?

Bemidji State University's Alumni Networks foster a strong and engaged community among our graduates. It's about creating meaningful connections, providing opportunities for professional and personal development and supporting the university’s strategic goals. Alumni networks aim to cultivate a sense of pride and loyalty among graduates while contributing to the overall success and reputation of Bemidji State University.

Networks organize folks in a geographical region, a common interest group or a similar career field to carry out specific programs and projects that support the strategic plan of Bemidji State and the Alumni & Foundation.

Networks are charged with assisting BSU in recruiting students, funding scholarships, serving as university ambassadors and developing strong professional and social networks for fellow alumni.

Regional Networks

The Bemidji State University alumni networks connect alumni who live and work in various locations across the U.S. through networking, social events, group volunteer opportunities, watch parties and more.

Regional networks play a vital role in fostering connections, building community and promoting the spirit of BSU. They provide a sense of belonging and support for alumni, wherever they may be, and contribute to the continued success and growth of the university’s alumni network.
