The Bemidji State University Alumni & Foundation has welcomed a new staff member in Amy Goplin, who will serve as the foundation’s account and gift processing specialist. Her first day was Sept. 8.
Goplin is a Bemidji High School graduate and a proud BSU alumna who brings with her 30 years of experience in accounting. She said she is enthusiastic about serving students and seeing them thrive in the North Woods.
“I’m excited for students to come here and not only have a great campus but take advantage of where it’s located, on the shore of Lake Bemidji,” Goplin said. “All the outdoor amenities we have to offer develop not only education but bring together the college experience as a whole. There are so many great resources for students to experience in this area. Having grown up here, it’s great for me to see them have that.”
As the accounting and gift processing specialist, Goplin is responsible for accounts payable, gift processing, scholarship budget tracking and preparing applications and financial reports necessary to conduct the business of the Alumni & Foundation office. Her duties include processing accounts payable, ensuring expenses have appropriate documentation and approval, gift entry/receipting/acknowledgment, calculating scholarship award amounts and other financial reporting.
Goplin can be reached at amy.goplin@bemidjistate.edu or 218-755-2778.
