Bemidji State University students enrolled in the cartography course have developed a cutting-edge app that allows users to navigate the campus tunnel system directly from their phones.
Bemidji State University has named Dr. Marah Jacobson as its next provost and vice president for academic affairs. She will succeed Dr. Jeff Ueland, who has served BSU as interim provost since September 2024. Her appointment begins April 7.
The program is being funded by the Minnesota State system’s Industry Sector Fund, which helps the system’s colleges and universities build capacity and support new programs.
A newly streamlined, student-focused program will continue to provide a traditional computer science foundation while creating new opportunities for specialized study in digital and user experience design.
Competing against larger schools from Texas, Maryland, Oklahoma, Kansas and beyond, BSU’s team advanced to the finals and secured an impressive fourth place – a testament to their dedication and expertise.
Bemidji State University has been ranked as the sixth-best best online college in Minnesota by Forbes Advisor.
Bemidji State’s enrollment is the university’s highest fall census-day headcount since 2021 and represents its first increase in fall enrollment from the previous year since the fall of 2017.
The music of Mozart comes to the Bemidji stage in October, when Bemidji Opera Theater at Bemidji State University presents “The Marriage of Figaro.”
Bemidji State’s Tree Ring Lab supports Minnesota Department of Natural Resources research through people like Dr. Samantha Jones and graduate student Kaysie Maleski.
