About 70 Beavers showed up at the ballpark for this year’s BSU Night at Target Field event on July 25, where Bemidji State University alumni and friends took in the action between the Minnesota Twins and the Washington Nationals.
The Twins won 1-0 in a game filled with Bemidji flair. Babe won the always competitive mascot race, and Paul Bunyan and Babe were even featured in the postgame laser show — the first in Target Field’s history.
Before taking their seats in the all-you-can-eat section, fans gathered and socialized at the Town Ball Tavern. The Bemidji Alumni Choir also sang the national anthem, marking its 20th year of doing so.
This year’s event also marked the fifth straight season that BSU Night at Target Field has ended in a Twins victory… which proves that Beavers are a good luck charm.
