The gas tank is full, the car snacks are secured, and the directions are all mapped out for Bemidji State University’s new For the North Presidential Road Show.

President John L. Hoffman and other university leaders are set to travel across Minnesota and beyond this fall to meet pockets of alumni and friends in a number of Midwest cities. The tour will include industry site visits, meetings with loyal donors, and alumni socials open to the community.

The road show begins with the Northwest Loop from Oct. 27-30, which has stops at Red Lake Nation and Bagley (Oct. 27); Thief River Falls (Oct. 28); Fargo, North Dakota (Oct. 29); and Grand Forks, North Dakota (Oct. 30).

The visits to Thief River Falls and Fargo also include free alumni socials. In TRF, all alumni and friends are invited to the Piggy BBQ; in Fargo, the event is at Brewhalla. Both socials begin at 4 p.m. and will include food, t-shirt giveaways and more.

BSU kindly requests that attendees RSVP ahead of time so it knows how many to expect. To register for the TRF social or for more information, visit bsualumni.org/trf; to register for the Fargo social or for more information, visit bsualumni.org/fargo.

Following the Northwest Loop, plans for the next legs of the journey are still being finalized. Alumni and friends are invited to request a visit with President Hoffman. If interested in requesting a meeting when he visits your city, or if you’d like to recommend that BSU adds your town to the list of stops, fill out the form at bsualumni.org/roadshow.
