Amanda (Minske) Peters

Amanda (Minske) Peters’ journey in higher education began as a student at Bemidji State University, serving as a resident assistant and peer academic advisor. Those early roles sparked her passion for supporting students and building community, ultimately leading her to earn a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from BSU in 2014 and a master’s in Higher Education from the University of North Dakota in 2016. During graduate school, she gained invaluable experience in academic advising, orientation, and crisis response, which laid the foundation for her work in admissions and student success. Over the years, Amanda has served in key roles at the University of Minnesota Crookston, the University of North Dakota, and now back at Bemidji State, where she has advanced from associate director of admissions to her current role as executive director of the student success center. Her work has focused on recruitment, retention, diversity and inclusion, advisor development, and strategic enrollment management. She is deeply committed to fostering student success, developing strong teams, and creating pathways for growth — both for students and for the institutions she serves.
