Since 2003, writers from all over the United States have gathered in Bemidji State University's intimate lakeside setting with award-winning authors and teachers to practice the arts of poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction.
The Minnesota Northwoods Writers Conference has given hundreds of participants from Minnesota and across the United States the opportunity to work closely with our faculty.
We offer a range of scholarships to support emerging writers, important voices and community leaders. We invite you to partner with us.
Support the Minnesota Northwoods Writers Conference General Fund to help lower the barriers to attending one of the finest writers conferences in the country. We offer numerous scholarships based on literary merit, from full scholarships ($1,500) to genre scholarships ($500) and auditor support ($200). Our donors' financial commitments make transformational opportunities a reality at MNWC.
