Give back. Creatively.
Giving back to Bemidji State can be more than just financially. While philanthropy is one of our key pillars and is vital to the success of BSU and its students, so is an eager base of alumni and friends who want to give back with their time and talents. Here are some of our current volunteer opportunities.

Alumni Leaders in the Classroom
Alumni and friends can return to the classroom and share their expertise with current students in a variety of fields and majors. Alumni Leaders in the Classroom events take place during Homecoming week each fall.

Alumni & Foundation Board of Directors
Apply to join the Bemidji State Alumni & Foundation's Board of Directors, or nominate another qualified candidate for consideration. Board members can serve up to six years and can make a difference in a variety of ways and areas of expertise.

BSU Mentors
Our BSU mentor program is designed to connect alumni with current students, new grads and like-minded alums to guide and support those seeking help in navigating their careers. Whether you'd like to be a mentor or a mentee, you can join for free and get ahead of the competition!

Dam Builders Club
The Dam Builders Club is our colony of local volunteers who help with the behind-the-scenes functionality of events. These volunteers can help with event planning, outreach, setup, teardown and more.
This program is coming soon.
