A Bemidji State University fundraising campaign

For the North

Time to Tally Up the Numbers

We're hard at work tallying up every penny donated during our For the North campaign. While you wait for the final numbers to come in, be sure of one thing: Your support has made this the largest campaign in the history of Bemidji State University!

Stay tuned for more details. In the meantime, you can browse this page to learn more about the campaign and where dollars are going. If you'd still like to make a difference, consider making a gift to the Lakeside Fund to support BSU's greatest needs.

When Bemidji State University’s For the North fundraising campaign began in 2023, we knew it would be big. We hoped it would be historic.

But we had no idea just how transformational Beavers around the globe were about to make it.

Nearly 4,000 donors stepped forward and added to the incredible momentum taking place at BSU. Not only did we reach our goal, we soared past Imagine Tomorrow’s record with flying colors — especially the proud green and gold that we Beavers don.

Did You Know?

At Bemidji State University, 95% of students receive some sort of financial assistance.

Today, students cannot earn enough in an academic year, or during the summer, to support the full cost of tuition. Many of our students rely on scholarships, work study, family help and student loans to make an education possible. Annual support from alumni, faculty and staff, parents and friends of BSU helps reduce the burden for students trying to balance up to three jobs and keep up with academic studies.
