
Gina (Houdek) Kemper
Class of 2006
Gina Kemper has been named the new invasive species specialist for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ northwest region. Kemper previously worked for three years for the Pelican River Watershed District as a water resource coordinator. Prior to that, she worked for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service as a biological science technician, water quality coordinator, Tribal activities coordinator and collateral wildland firefighter (11 years at the Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge and three years at the Fergus Falls Habitat and Population Evaluation Team Division). For four years, she has been a Smokechaser and dispatcher for DNR Forestry, based out of Detroit Lakes.
