James “Jim” Harrison Musburger died March 1, 2025, in his apartment at Crystal Brook in Park Rapids, MN, with Jill, Jim and Julie holding him close until the end. He was born July 15, 1930 in Bemidji, MN to Elmer and Hazel (Isherwood) Musburger and grew up there with his five siblings. Jim graduated from Bemidji High School in 1948 and made school history when his basketball team won the state championship by defeating Hopkins in an era of one-class basketball.
