Joan (Riordan) Boyer

Joan Marie Boyer, 65, of Grand Forks, North Dakota, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Altru Hospital. Joan was born April 1, 1961, in Windom, Minnesota, the daughter of Lane and Marjorie (Fritz) Riordan, the first of four children. She grew up in Windom, Mankato, and Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. She attended Bemidji State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in business. She married Chad Albert Boyer on Sept. 29, 1984, and shared over four decades of love and companionship, and were blessed with three children, Amy, Jack, and Sam.
