Sarah Jackson

Sarah Jackson graduated from Bemidji State University with a degree in social work. A drum keeper and quilter, she made dancers' regalia and enjoyed attending powwows with her family. She worked for the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe as a Head Start teacher and later as program manager for the MFIP program in the Leech Lake Education Division, with a total of 54 years of service.
