Lee Weinland
Class of 1975
Lee Weinland is a retired scientist from Los Alamos National Laboratory. He also owned a video production business, producing over 1,000 TV commercials, training films, and educational products, thanks to his Mass Communication degree from Bemidji State University and the influence of Dr. Bob Smith. He still loves fishing, though he notes the absence of big walleyes or trout in New Mexico and Colorado. Last year, he lost his left leg to a massive infection but is persevering, learning to adapt, cope, and conquer in his new life as an amputee. Go Beavers!
