The Bemidji State University Alumni & Foundation is accepting nominations for its 2026 class of distinguished alumni until March 1. Submit a nomination today!
Each year, Bemidji State honors alumni and friends for outstanding professional achievements and service to their communities. You can nominate a worthy candidate for one or multiple prestigious awards by clicking the button below or by visiting bsualumni.org/alumni/awards. More information on each award and previous winners is also available at that page.
BSU distinguished alumni award nominations are due by March 1 each year. (The BSU Athletic Hall of Fame, which recognizes its inductees separately at a different ceremony, accepts nominations year-round and has a one-year vetting process for each nominee.)
The Alumni & Foundation Board of Directors reviews all nominations and makes selections based on nominees’ personal and professional achievements, as well as how they bring recognition to BSU through outstanding service and significant contributions to their community, state, and nation.
Upon approval, award recipients are notified via congratulatory communication from the president of Bemidji State.
This year's selected award-winners will be recognized at the 2026 Honors Gala during BSU’s Homecoming festivities. This year's Homecoming week is scheduled for Sept. 20-27, 2026, and the Honors Gala will be held on Friday, Sept. 25.
