In honor of a new men's basketball season tipping off for Bemidji State University today, we've uncovered and digitized a bygone era of Beaver Basketball.
Bemidji State College's 1963-64 men's basketball team got ready for the season with a scrimmage at the still-new BSU Gymnasium... all while the gymnastics team practiced in the background. (You'll also notice the lack of a 3-point line that wouldn't arrive for several more decades.)
The team went 8-14 that season under head coach Zeke Hogeland, including a pair of victories against defending Northern Intercollegiate Conference champion Michigan Tech.
