Why do you give to For the North? Tell us for a chance to be featured by Bemidji State

Bemidji State University’s For the North campaign has surpassed $24 million raised in under three years, which marks perhaps the most rapid rise of philanthropy in the institution’s history.

But it certainly hasn’t happened without widespread support: Over 3,600 donors have come together since the campaign began, with gifts ranging from $1 into the millions. All of it combines to create a major impact at BSU.

If you’re a part of For the North’s $24 million — meaning if you’ve given anytime since July 1, 2023 — it’s time to celebrate your why. Tell us why you’ve donated and what your gift means to you, and we may just feature you in an upcoming project.

Maybe you give to pay it forward after being a scholarship recipient yourself. Or maybe you support your favorite Beaver Athletics team because you want to help them realize on-field success. Or maybe you give in recognition of your favorite academic program or in memory of a loved one.
