Support Bucky's Cupboard

Help our students

Bucky’s Cupboard Student Food Pantry is in critical need of resources. We need our campus community’s help in funding this food shelf for the next five years which would take $30,000 to do.

Quick stats

  • Between 25-50% of college students struggle with food insecurity
  • Since Bucky’s Cupboard opened in March 2020 (and with 3+ semesters of primarily online learning and little student foot traffic):
    • There have been 2,500 logged visits to the food pantry.
    • 20% were first-time users
    • 40% were regular users
    • 40% were students who visit between 2-10 times
  • This academic year, there have been more than 700 logged visits. Awareness and need have both increased significantly.
  • The pantry receives about 5-10 visitors a day. Some just browse. Some grab a small snack. Others take a small grocery bag of food. It is a well-known offering by students and has consistent use.
