Alumni Benefits

All graduates of BSU, or former students who have completed at least 36 quarter credit hours or 32 semester credit hours, are considered alumni of Bemidji State University and are eligible for a number of benefits. Here's a look at some of the perks:

Gillett Wellness Center membership

Alumni receive membership discounts up to nearly 50 percent. The Gillett offers state-of-the-art equipment and facilities that encourage members to slim down, tone up, de-stress or just play.

Free library card

Alumni have access to the A.C. Clark Library even after they've graduated. You can check out books, use the computers and other in-building technology such as open-face book scanning and more.

Alumni Benefits - BSU Bookstore Discounts

BSU Bookstore discount

Alumni receive a 10 percent discount on merchandise and apparel at the BSU Bookstore on campus. Show your Bemidji State pride all year long with authentic BSU collegiate apparel, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and game-day gear.

To receive the discount, purchases must be made on campus. Call 218-444-8509 for more information and for store hours.

Request a transcript

When employers or other colleges/universities request an official transcript from you — or if you want one for your records — BSU can provide one for a small fee. All official transcripts are stamped with the Bemidji State University seal and signed by the Registrar.

Career Advancement assistance

The Career Advancement office connects students, alumni and employers to empower lifelong career success. Career Advancement's services are open to all alumni to ensure that you're always moving forward — whether you're just starting out, growing or hiring.

Special events

Alumni with up-to-date contact information will receive invitations to special BSU Alumni & Foundation events and programs, such Homecoming events and the BSU Honors Gala. Make sure your contact information is up to date to receive your special event invitations.

Contributing alumni benefits

Alumni who contribute at least $75 per year to the BSU Alumni & Foundation have the opportunity to receive additional benefits. To become a contributing member, make a donation today.

Alumni Relative Scholarship

First-year, returning and transfer students with a relative who is a contributing alum may apply for an Alumni Relative Scholarship. About 45 scholarships worth $1,000 each are awarded every year. Students can apply online or learn more from these FAQs. The yearly application deadline is Feb. 1.
