Bemidji State University Athletics donors, alongside BSU coaches, current athletes and faculty and staff, gathered for a special donor recognition ceremony in the foyer of the John Glas Fieldhouse on May 19.
BSU President Faith Hensrud and Director of Athletics Tracy Dill reflected on their tenures at the university, thanking athletes, coaches and supporters for their continued dedication to Beaver Athletics. Hensrud and Dill are retiring this spring after six and nine years at BSU, respectively.
Attendees visited with other Beaver fans, met BSU coaches and student-athletes and wished President Hensrud and Tracy Dill farewell as they near retirement. Heavy appetizers were served and a cash bar was available.
Beaver Football's Jalen Frye, Brandon Alt, Zollie Kaplan, Brendan Beaulieu, soccer players Sara Wendt and Erin Becker, and women's basketball's Rumor Flatness shared their favorite memories as student-athletes and expressed their appreciation for donor and fan support throughout their playing careers.
Tours of the recently-renovated John Glas Fieldhouse were given, including the Frederick P. Baker Training Center and Jeff "Bird" McBride Clubhouse.
