Dick's Plumbing & Heating
Founded in 1971, Dick’s Plumbing & Heating has been a staple in the Bemidji community, working on both commercial and residential projects including the Joe Lueken Cancer Center at the Sanford Bemidji hospital and Bemidji State’s David Park House, which is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. The company was also instrumental in helping with Bemidji State’s Tiny House project, donating time, materials and knowledge to BSU construction management students who used the project as a capstone learning opportunity.
Dick’s Plumbing & Heating – and the Gregg family – have been longtime supporters of Bemidji State University and Beaver Athletics. The company often sponsors the driving range and other on-course games for the Gordy Skaar and Galen Nagle Memorial golf tournaments, both fundraisers for BSU athletics held each summer at the Bemidji Town & Country Club.
Company owners Mike and Leisha Gregg’s three children all attended Bemidji State. Daughters Aly (Gregg) Pater ’14 earned her degree in psychology, Becca (Gregg) Dremmel ’15 graduated with an elementary education degree and son Matt will finish his project management studies in fall 2020. Matt also spent four years on the Beavers men’s golf team.
Bemidji State University is thankful for Dicks Plumbing & Heating’s long-time support of BSU students. The university looks forward to partnering with Dicks Plumbing & Heating in the future to reach its shared goal of making a positive difference in the Bemidji community.
