Celebrity softball is coming to Bemidji… and Bucky the Beaver is taking over!
Join us for the launch of Bucky’s Celebrity Softball Game, a soon-to-be annual pastime with local celebrities from the Bemidji area. This inaugural event is the latest in our Community Appreciation Day series and is meant to show our gratitude for the community’s support of Bemidji State University.
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 11, and come on out to the BSU softball field for a spirited evening of family-friendly fun. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m., and admission is free for everyone. Concessions will also be open.
Additionally, giveaways and prizes will be up for grabs throughout the game, and all attendees will have the chance to enter for free.
The game itself features two new heated rivals – the Whitecaps and the Green Sox – competing head-to-head. Players’ skill levels promise to range from “just here for kicks” to “playing for MVP,” and although we’ll keep score, we primarily want to have fun while bringing a new kind of community event to Bemidji.
Our star-studded rosters will be announced leading up to the event, as well, giving you a chance to pick your allegiance and cheer on your favorite team.
We hope you’ll join us in shouting, “Play ball!” come June 11!
