The 27th annual Galen Nagle Memorial Golf Tournament presented by Federated Insurance returns to the Bemidji Town and Country Club on Friday, July 12, and registration is now open.

The Nagle is a summer tradition that brings BSU men's hockey alumni, current athletes, coaches and program supporters to the beautiful Bemidji Town and Country Club to raise funds for Beaver Hockey.

The scramble tournament features five-person teams with morning tee times from 8-9:50 a.m. and afternoon tee times from 12:30-2:50 p.m. A tournament committee member will contact your team's captain to schedule the team's tee time.

The registration fee of $150 per golfer or $750 per team includes golf, two carts per team, tee prizes, brats on the course and a meal after your round. A limited number of tee times are available and will fill up quickly, so do not wait to register.

Please note that registration is online only, and no on-site registration will be available.

To sign up, visit www.bsualumni.org/nagle.

The tournament is named after former Bemidji State goalie Galen Nagle, who died in 1996 after a battle with cancer. Nagle was a member of the 1983-84 BSU team that won the national title and finished 31-0-0.

All proceeds from the event go to the BSU men’s hockey program, as well as a scholarship fund set up in Nagle’s name.

In 2023, supporters raised an event-record $41,000 through the tournament, on-course games and a silent auction. For the first time ever, the Beavers also had two Stanley Cup champion alumni on the course. In addition to 1989 Cup winner Joel Otto, new champ Zach Whitecloud – who won the Stanley Cup in 2023 with the Vegas Golden Knights – returned to Bemidji for the Nagle.
