The Bemidji State University Alumni & Foundation is happy to announce the hiring of Tracy Colligan in the role of office administrative specialist. She began her tenure on Jan. 16.

Colligan brings over 30 years of administrative experience in a wide range of sectors, ranging from healthcare to telecommunications to construction.

“We knew that Tracy was the right hire when she described in detail her past experience supporting a nonprofit board,” BSUAF executive director Allyssa Joseph said. “Pairing Tracy’s passion to serve with the current momentum of our board will only help us achieve our collective vision at an accelerated pace.”

Colligan’s duties at the foundation will include managing all board of director logistics; providing high-level administrative support to the executive director and executive committee; scholarship administration and tracking; and office management and administrative assistance, among other duties.

Before joining the Alumni & Foundation, Colligan was most recently a human resources administrative assistant at TEAM Industries. Among other jobs, she has also served as an executive assistant to the CEO at the Northwestern Mental Health Center in Crookston, and she founded and owned The Assistant Solution…your solution – a business providing administrative support services ranging from one-time projects to long-term working relationships – for 25 years.

Much of her previous employment has consisted of nonprofit organizations and businesses.

Colligan lives in Lengby with her dog, Lilly. She enjoys an outdoor lifestyle and outdoor events, drawing and creativity.
